I usually shoot for 95% because, like said previously, torque wrenches normally have max of +-4% error when calibrated. B-1B, I don't understand when you say "90% minimum" or shoot for 95%. Lets say my rear axle nut needed to be set to 90-105 ft/lbs.
WebJul 4, 2005 · Install upper nuts finger tight. Install lower nuts to 9-18 in. lbs. Tighten upper nuts to 60-80 in. lbs. Tighten lower nuts to 60-80 in. lbs. I suggest after youu get your bike to full operating temp to let it fully cool, then check the bolts. Assuming your using new gaskets you might want to repeat a second time. Started it and rode it for about 30 minutes.
