WebJun 21, 2024 · If you replaced the regulator, but the alternator was dead, then it is still dead and the light will remain on. I don't know what the connections are for the regulator, but if they are difficult to make, could you have screwed one of them up? TIP There is a + post in the engine bay where you connect jumper cables when the need arises.
