WebA friend of mine has an aquarium and asked me to design a Bristle Worm Trap. Bristle Worms, or Polychaeta, are a detritivorous pest found in aquariums that can be attracted into a small opening using bait. Once inside, the worms have difficulty finding the way out. Update-5/17/2024 Added a Bottom with 3.5mm holes as has been requested. WebMar 1, 2024 · Add bait like a piece of shrimp or meat into the water bottle. Close the cap of the bottle. Put this DIY trap in the aquarium, preferably near rocks where bristle worms tend to hide. Wait for a day or two before checking if there are critters that have been trapped inside the water bottle. Dispose of the water bottle properly.
